Rethinking Germany’s energy supply infrastructure is a key part of the planned energy revolution. Brand-new ICT solutions are required to facilitate the use of renewable energies. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) has recently launched the 5Gain research project under the stewardship of IT service provider adesso. The collaborative project evaluates and develops innovative IT concepts for generating and consuming energy in “smart cities”.

The BOTTO digital assistant now provides active support in the service business of Fiducia & GAD IT AG. To ensure innovative development in the banking sector, the IT service provider for Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken sought reinforcement from its industry colleague adesso. In a project, a service assistant was developed that automatically provide bankers with information about their banking business in accordance with their individual needs.
With fabulAPP – Kit for digital storytelling in museums, the Landesstelle für die nichtstaatlichen Museen in Bayern (regional office for non-governmental museums in Bavaria) supports museums in developing their eCulture. The focus is on individual digital applications for mobile devices – such as audio and multimedia guides, e-learning or games applications for museum visitors. Just under 60 museums in Bavaria now use this free product for advanced training in the field of digitalisation and the realisation and operation of a sustainable app. The press conference will introduce fabulAPP and present certain application examples.
adesso will continue with its expansion activities in the new year: the IT service provider is broadening its footprint in Germany by adding two new offices in Bonn and Leipzig, bringing the adesso Group’s German presence to 23 locations in total. Continentale Krankenversicherung a.G., one of the ten largest private health insurance companies in Germany, plans to switch the basis of its current system environment for inventory and claims management to in|sure by 2023. adesso has successfully launched Project CarAH in South Africa together with the charitable organisations Südafrika-Hilfe and Arbeit und Leben NRW. The aim of the project is to commit to improving healthcare for chronically ill patients in the region using information technology. High-tech e-health solutions to assist communication between healthcare providers and patients play a key role in the project.
adesso has reached an agreement for the deployment of its Mobile Retter first-responder communication system in Spain. In a public tender process, The Ministry of Health of the Catalonia region, with Barcelona as its capital, chose the first-responder infrastructure from adesso. From December, the IT system will alert first responders to medical emergencies in the region, which has 7.5 million inhabitants.
adesso SE, Deutsche Arzt AG and NOVOTERGUM GmbH have joined forces to establish joint venture pangenia systems GmbH with the aim of developing innovative software solutions for the German healthcare market. The company is set to focus on solutions for orthopaedics, physiotherapy and digital healthcare management.
Yesterday’s entry in the commercial register formally completed adesso’s conversion into a European limited company (societas Europaea SE). Effective immediately, adesso will operate under the name adesso SE. The new legal form underlines the IT service provider’s international focus and is a consistent continuation of its growth strategy.
