The IT service provider adesso now has two new locations in Baden-Württemberg. The offices in Reutlingen and Vaihingen join those already located in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, ensuring that adesso continues on its path of expansion and stays true to its aim of being as close as possible to its customers.
In its role as implementation partner for the NRW research project ON4OFF, adesso will be responsible for back-end architecture and system integration. The project has a planned duration of three years and focuses on the merging of online and physical retail. The goal is to make local retailers in North Rhine-Westphalia more competitive.
adesso mobile solutions, the mobile business experts of the IT service provider adesso, has released a study on app accessibility. Prepared in cooperation with the market research institute eye square, the paper entitled “Mobil mit Barrieren – Apps auf dem Prüfstand” (Mobile with barriers – putting apps to the test) takes a closer look at what companies need to keep in mind when developing apps.
The Christmas season is here, and the checkouts are jingling. Consumers flock to city centre shops and sales figures are higher than at any other time of year. During the rest of the year, retailers complain of lulls and revenue losses, and there is talk of a looming “haemorrhaging” of city centres. As a partner to retailers, the IT service provider adesso has identified the digital trends for 2019. The IT service provider adesso is expanding at its new location in Spain. The Spanish subsidiary adesso Spain – established in Barcelona in April 2018 – is acquiring the IT company SunnyTrail Consulting, which is based in Madrid and Jeréz. It offers IT consultancy and development services and is specialised in Salesforce solutions. The acquisition gives adesso a total of three locations in Spain.
adesso Switzerland, a subsidiary of adesso AG, continues to pursue its expansion strategy and will be represented in the French-speaking part of Switzerland in the future. The IT service provider is now opening a branch in Lausanne to support the existing offices in Zurich, Bern and Basel, which together already employ 250 people.
adesso AG further increased its sales revenues in the third quarter of 2018 compared to the prior quarter and the previous year. Operating earnings (EBITDA) were above the values seen in the first two quarters of 2018 and set a new record for a quarter. Development was driven by continued high organic growth in sales and the number of employees, solid capacity utilisation and a wide range of successfully completed fixed-price projects.
adesso is once again expanding its SmartShore service, which it launched in mid-2016. Along with the team in Turkey, which has successfully been integrated, the new location in Bulgaria has been providing additional capacity since June of this year. This has allowed the IT service provider to handle the largest individual contract to date in the growing SmartShore services business: adesso is supporting the in-house IT department at a German direct insurer during the introduction of a new portfolio management system and in its daily operations. The total contract volume is around EUR 2.5 million.
adesso’s “digital pilgrimage” digital day event series promises to give participants an opportunity to experience digitalisation live. As part of the series, the IT service provider uses best practice examples to demonstrate real-life approaches to digitalisation projects. The next event, which will take a hands-on look at digital transformation, is scheduled for 8 November 2018. At its headquarters in Dortmund, the company will present successful real-life case studies to its customers, business partners and other interested parties.
