move AI

AI isn't something we also do.
AI is what we do.

We integrate technology into your processes, products, and systems—where it creates value. To do this, we combine industry expertise, productive applications, and agent-based software development.

Our work isn’t done until the solutions deliver results in your day-to-day operations.

AI is challenging your business model. And ours.

AI and agents are not just changing individual processes. They are transforming the way companies shape their markets and the way software is developed. This is what we at adesso are focusing on: we are developing, investing and working in a new way.

Our aim: to turn the potential of technology into measurable results for you, quickly and reliably.

  • "Ultimately, an AI solution must deliver on three fronts: it must prove its worth in practice, demonstrate high quality and be cost-effective. That is what we at adesso focus on."
Benedikt Bonnmann, Member of the Executive Board of adesso SE, on move AI

AI and Agents

Others call it the future.

At adesso, AI shapes every aspect of the business, from internal processes to our collaboration with our clients. Our teams, portfolio, expertise and structures are so closely interlinked that we are always well-equipped to tackle the tasks at hand.

This is evident from five key points:

  • 01

We build software using an agent-based approach. From start to finish.

adSCAILE makes collaboration between people and agents the guiding principle of the entire development process: from requirements and architecture, through development and testing, right through to operations. Our teams set the direction and establish guidelines, review the results and take responsibility. With move AI, we give this principle organisational clout. To this end, we have brought together more than 1,000 experts in platforms, data and AI within a new unit. Together, they bring the full potential of the technology to every project.

  • 02

We equip AI with industry expertise.

A model can do a great deal. But what really matters is whether it understands your business. It is the technical terminology, rules and processes of a particular sector that make all the difference. That is why we are systematically expanding our expertise: through our own specialists, strategic partnerships, joint ventures and equity investments. omni:us is one such investment: this start-up expands our offering in the insurance sector with specialised AI for claims handling. Saarstahl is one such partnership: together, we are developing AI tailored to the needs of industry, drawing on our industrial expertise.

  • 03

We run AI Labs so that you don’t have to experiment.

In our AI Labs, teams work on specific business challenges. They combine tried-and-tested technologies with insights gained from client projects, test approaches under realistic conditions and develop viable solutions. Whatever proves successful is incorporated into our projects as a method, a tool or a reusable building block. This means we don’t start from scratch and can shorten the path to going live. Solutions, whether as SaaS or forward-deployed solutions, are developed in collaboration with our clients.

  • 04

We work right where AI is meant to make a difference: at your organisation.

Our Forward Deployed Engineers work side by side with your specialist and IT teams. As part of day-to-day operations, they identify at an early stage where AI can make a difference and what obstacles stand in the way. They implement solutions and embed them in processes, systems and day-to-day work.

  • 05

    We start by changing ourselves.

Those who make AI and agents productive within their own organisation are not simply introducing new technology. Tasks, roles, decision-making processes and responsibilities are changing. Here at adesso, we are also shaping this transformation for ourselves. We are realigning our organisation whilst simultaneously integrating AI into our day-to-day work: from internal knowledge searches, through onboarding, the consolidation of project knowledge, and contextualised consultancy expertise for specific sectors and platforms, right through to agent-based workplace booking and meeting follow-ups. We apply what we learn in the process to the transformation of our clients’ organisations. We know where technology alone is not enough, how new roles take shape, and what teams need to ensure that AI works in everyday practice. We are not just familiar with these questions from workshops; we address them every day within our own organisation.

For our clients, all of this comes together in a dedicated project team. From the initial strategic considerations right through to the day-to-day use of AI: experts in agent-based development, industry and processes, data and AI, and organisational transformation all work together to achieve a result.

You invest in results. Not in possibilities.

Before AI and agents can be deployed on a large scale, they must prove their worth to your business. We’ll demonstrate whether a solution makes good business sense, is technically viable and works reliably in day-to-day operations. Then we’ll decide together: scale up, refine or stop.

Value before technology

It’s not the model that comes first, but your business. Which process needs improving? What outcome matters? What financial benefit justifies the investment? Only once we have these answers can we determine which AI, which agents and which systems you need.

Tried and tested, no detours

We draw on what has already proved successful in other projects, thereby avoiding dead ends. Our collaboration focuses entirely on what makes your business unique.

Built for the workplace

Quality, security, clear rules, integration into existing processes and reliable operation are key features of the solution right from the start. This means you don’t end up with a prototype that your team will later have to spend a great deal of time refining, but rather a solution that works well in day-to-day use.

Isn't there any AI for that? Yes, there is.

adesso offers businesses a wide range of ready-made AI solutions. These range from large language models, platforms and centralised systems, through shared access for employees and automated business processes, to the centralised management of models, costs and rules. The right solution depends on the task at hand.

Three examples illustrate the range. If you’d like to find out more about our GenAI portfolio, please get in touch: genAI@adesso.de

br.AI.n integrates AI into ongoing business processes.

br.AI.n is a platform for businesses that want to integrate generative AI into their business processes whilst retaining control. Business units and IT work together to define how a process flows and which language model handles which step. None of this remains a black box: for every response, the platform shows where it came from. Companies can run br.AI.n in their own data centre, in the cloud, or in both. Pre-built modules speed up the start-up process, whilst access to the source code ensures the teams’ independence.

adessoGPT makes knowledge accessible in a controlled manner.

adessoGPT provides employees with shared and reliable access to AI for their day-to-day work. Instead of using individual tools and uncoordinated pilot projects, the business units utilise a shared platform. The company retains control over data, models and applications. adessoGPT is already in productive use at more than 20 client organisations. Here at our company, too, several thousand employees work with adessoGPT every day.

The AI Hub combines innovation with clarity.

The adesso AI Hub centralises access to various language models. Managers control budgets at user and project level, manage access centrally and set binding guidelines for the use of AI. This enables companies to launch new applications more quickly. At the same time, everyone can see what individual models cost and who is authorised to access what.

Modernization with and for GenAI

Your IT shouldn’t just work. It should drive your business forward.

Legacy systems, siloed solutions and interfaces that nobody fully understands anymore: the budget is tied up in maintenance and operations, which then leaves nothing for new initiatives. And every AI application will eventually need to integrate with precisely these systems.

Modernisation and AI go hand in hand. GenAI reduces the cost of modernisation because tools take care of the detailed work: reading existing code, extracting business logic and rebuilding it. Conversely, AI only works when systems, data and processes support it. The transformation therefore takes place in stages, with one result per step, without any risk to ongoing operations. We show which application is up next on our dedicated page.

EWE Trading: The quicker you approve, the sooner you earn

In European energy trading, the speed of a company’s own software determines profit or loss. At EWE Trading, the bottleneck lay not in the market but within the company itself: every approval of new trading algorithms and risk models tied up specialist staff for hours. This delayed the roll-out of new functions. Working with adesso, the company handed this routine over to AI agents, embedded within the existing development environment and using data that never leaves the company. Testing costs fell by 86 per cent, throughput rose by just under 20 per cent, and the investment pays for itself from the second transaction onwards.

“For EWE Trading, generative AI is a key strategic factor for sustainable, independent and secure innovation.”

Peter Stomberg, Head of EWE Trading

Trust cannot be digitized.

Trust is built through delivery. These companies rely on adesso.

Europe is not our target market. Europe is where we come from.

For AI to be productive in European companies, it must do more than simply function from a technical point of view. It must comply with regulatory requirements, protect data and integrate seamlessly into complex organisations and system landscapes.

The AI Act, the GDPR, BaFin and sector-specific regulations: our teams work within these frameworks, not around them. Compliance is not a separate process, but an integral part of our delivery model.

Our network extends across Europe’s technology sector, research institutions, trade associations and public authorities. This feeds directly into your projects.

European companies need data processing to take place within clearly defined boundaries. Where necessary, we run AI on European infrastructure, with sovereign cloud options and contractually guaranteed data residency.
