Dr. Louis Schäfer is responsible for the production business at adesso. He studied mechanical engineering with a specialization in production engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and received his doctorate from the wbk Institute for Production Engineering and MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston. Dr. Schäfer has extensive experience in the areas of lean management, operational excellence, factory planning, production engineering, and digitization and AI strategy in production.

Uwe Pohlmann, Senior Software Architect Business Line Manufacturing Industry

As an experienced software architect and consultant at adesso, Dr Uwe Pohlmann combines comprehensive expertise in the operational management and development of global production software platforms. In the past, he managed the shop floor toolbox and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) of a global automotive supplier. He began his professional career at the Fraunhofer Institute IEM, where he completed his doctorate in the field of software engineering for cyber-physical systems. His strengths lie in the design of secure architectures and the efficient implementation of production-related digitalisation projects, supported by in-depth knowledge of OT security.
