adesso software lifts off with German Aerospace Center

adesso software can now be found almost everywhere in the public and private sectors. But one location adesso code had never been before is outer space. That changed in a flash this morning, when the research rocket MAPHEUS-12 took off for a mission above the earth lasting around 15 minutes, before returning safe and sound to the ESRANGE Space Center in Kiruna in northern Sweden. The use of adesso software in space marks the start of a cooperation with the Institute of Aerospace Medicine of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as part of the MAPHEUS sounding rocket programme.

AI-based lottery slip recognition for tablets at lottery sales points

adesso has developed software designed to recognise lottery slips automatically using cloud and AI technology for Westdeutsche Lotterie GmbH & Co. OHG (WestLotto). The software, optimised for use on handy tablet computers and the first of its kind on the market, will allow lottery players to hand in their slips at smaller sales points that do not have the space for conventional lottery terminals. WestLotto is set to roll out the practical tablet solution across its sales points in North Rhine-Westphalia from early 2023. The new software is being unveiled to the international lottery industry at the World Lottery Summit in Vancouver, which begins on 16 October.

adesso joins German government’s project BIM Deutschland (BIM GERMANY): Milestone in the digitalisation of the construction industry: Federal government’s BIM portal goes online

The German federal government has launched its new Building Information Modeling portal, which provides a range of tools for publishing the technical specifications of tendered construction projects. The portal was developed as part of a joint project stewarded by BIM Deutschland (BIM Germany) with the help of IT partner adesso. The project marks an important contribution by adesso to the digitalisation of the German construction industry and the introduction of the latest BIM methods.

adesso launches platform collaboration with Fennica Gaming

adesso and Finnish software developer Fennica Gaming have launched an iGaming platform collaboration. The aim of the venture is to integrate eInstants – Fennica Gaming’s online scratch cards that are popular among Finnish customers – into adesso’s state-of-the-art iGaming platform LotteryForce, and then to offer this enhanced portfolio of games on the international lottery market. adesso will present the new offering for the first time at the World Lottery Summit 2022, which begins in Vancouver on 16 October.

Gottfried Koch to step down – Stefanie Kemp proposed as successor

Prof. Dr Gottfried Koch (71), member of the Supervisory Board of adesso SE, will step down from his role with effect from 30 September 2022. Koch has informed the Supervisory Board and Executive Board of adesso SE of his intention. Prof. Dr Koch has been a member of the Supervisory Board since June 2013. During his term of office, he advised on, reviewed and supported key decisions regarding the development of the business, such as the conversion to a Societas Europaea (SE), capital increases to fund growth and numerous strategic acquisitions. He has therefore played a major part in the Group’s successful expansion into one of the leading IT service providers in Europe. Stefanie Kemp (58) is set to succeed Prof. Dr Koch on the adesso SE Su-pervisory Board on 2 January 2023.

adesso study on trustworthy AI: Companies would like more control over AI

Companies considering the use of artificial intelligence need to address fundamental questions: how can those responsible ensure that decisions made by an AI application are transparent? How will they control the potential risks of using AI? The answers are crucial for consumer acceptance of the technology. IT service provider adesso surveyed corporate AI experts on the subject of trustworthy AI as part of a representa-tive study. The majority of them believe that their customers are willing to take a leap of faith towards AI. At the same time, the participants in the study would like to see more control mechanisms.
