The “Boostival” will offer the chosen participants a platform where they can present their company to a broad audience of investors, who are also invited to the event. That will allow the companies to make valuable contacts with corporate investors, venture capitalists and their networks. “Boostival” for founders: adesso invites start-ups to a pitch event in Dortmund on 26 October
In its anniversary year, IT service provider adesso has launched an incubator for start-ups: adesso will use the company, inQventures GmbH, to share its experience and expertise, earned over the past two decades, with talented, promising start-ups. On 26 October 2017, inQventures will host a pitch event titled “Start-up Boostival”. The aim is to bring founders from the German-speaking world together with corporate investors and venture capitalists, helping them raise capital and obtain rapid market access. The deadline for applications from start-ups in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is 12 October.
The event is aimed at founders with a focus on the business-to-business (B2B) segment in the areas of fintech, healthcare, insurtech, the internet of things, public administration and the energy industry. The companies must also be in the early stages of financing.
The application should include a pitch deck and a company profile. Interested corporate investors and venture capitalists are also invited to represent the investment community at the event.
For the competition, which has the slogan “Give your start-up a boost”, inQventures has chosen a high-calibre ten-person jury made up of experienced investors from the financial and insurance industry, as well as venture capitalists. The founders will pitch their business idea to this expert audience individually, including information about the market environment, the problem and solution, and their specific product and its market potential.

Frank Reinecke, General Manager of inQventures, describes the opportunity offered by this pitch event: “We are giving selected start-ups a unique chance to make contacts in the existing industry and attract investors at the same time.”
The winner selected by the jury will receive intensive two-day start-up coaching including a workshop in the adesso “Interaction Room”. That will allow the founders, along with their coaches, to examine their business model and identify the greatest business opportunities and risks in the implementation process, particularly in the area of information technology, resulting in professional process, integration and object maps that can be used to determine the requirements for rapid implementation.
