Transition to SAP Sales Cloud V2 in record time: adesso digitalizes sales at SÜDPACK Medica AG

adesso SE and SÜDPACK Medica AG, a company of the SÜDPACK Group, have successfully completed a forward-looking CRM (customer relationship management) project in less than six months with the introduction of SAP Sales Cloud version 2, officially known as the SAP Intelligent Sales & Services Cloud. For SÜDPACK Medica AG, a specialist in flexible packaging for medical technology and pharmaceuticals, this marks the start of a new era of digitalized sales work. After a preparation phase of around two months, the new solution was fully implemented in the existing SAP S/4HANA system landscape in just three months, and now assists the entire sales force with AI-supported functions and modern sales processes.

Intelligent solution for maximum sales efficiency

A conventional greenfield approach was pursued: the realignment of sales was combined with the development of a completely new IT system. The goal of all stakeholders was to establish a standardised, scalable sales model based on one of the most state-of-the-art cloud solutions on the market within a very short space of time. The SAP Intelligent Sales & Services Cloud is based on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and provides companies with a native cloud architecture that can be seamlessly integrated into central company systems such as SAP S/4HANA and makes numerous AI functions available to users.

Integration challenge overcome

Integrating the SAP Intelligent Sales & Services Cloud into the existing SAP S/4HANA system landscape presented challenges for the project team due to the complex circumstances. As the SAP CX experts from adesso's Digital Experience business unit were among the first implementation partners for the still new CRM, they were already familiar with corresponding scenarios from previous projects. Despite the obstacles, the team managed to create a stable system suitable for productive use within a very short space of time through close coordination with SAP and targeted, detailed work.

“For SÜDPACK Medica AG, the introduction was not just a technical task, but a strategic project as part of holistic digital transformation, itself a flagship undertaking for the entire SÜDPACK Group. Foundations laid for further digitalization

With the SAP Intelligent Sales & Services Cloud, the sales teams at SÜDPACK Medica AG now have access to a CRM that is capable of modular expansion, impresses with AI functions such as automated customer overviews, and forms the basis for data-driven work.

Implementation of the CRM is part of a comprehensive innovation programme at SÜDPACK Medica AG. Plans to roll out the solution to other business units are already under way.
