In its anniversary year, IT service provider adesso has launched an incubator for start-ups: adesso will use the company, inQventures GmbH, to share its experience and expertise, earned over the past two decades, with talented, promising start-ups. On 26 October 2017, inQventures will host a pitch event titled “Start-up Boostival”. The aim is to bring founders from the German-speaking world together with corporate investors and venture capitalists, helping them raise capital and obtain rapid market access. The deadline for applications from start-ups in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is 12 October.
The German Federal Network Agency for electricity, gas, telecommunications, post and railway markets, which is based in Bonn, has commissioned the bidding consortium composed of adesso AG and TechTalk GmbH with the supply, integration and introduction of standard software for electronic file management. The order is valued at around €3.5 million.
adesso AG has acquired a 30 percent stake in the start-up soccerwatch.tv. The Essen-based company has developed a fully automatic camera system and online streaming service for the live broadcasting of amateur football games.
Tinkering, programming and fine-tuning: As part of its 20th-anniversary campaign ‘Develop. The future. Now.’, the IT service provider adesso is hosting free IoT4Kids workshops in seven German cities. From September to November 2017, children aged nine to 14 will be able to try out the Internet of Things and engage in related creative activities.
To be even better prepared for the increasing digitalisation of the insurance sector, “Münchener Verein Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG” (Münchener Verein) will be using the standard software package offered by adesso insurance solutions GmbH for its composite policies in future. After launching in|sure PSLife for portfolio and claims management for life insurance and in|sure Partner for partner management, with in|sure General, the insurance group is now introducing a further component of the in|sure comprehensive IT package. Apart from licence purchasing, the remit includes providing services for launching, migrating the entire contract portfolio, and a multiple-year maintenance contract. By the beginning of 2018, adesso insurance solutions GmbH will provide its solution for productive use in the field of accident insurance. All other areas of composite insurance will then follow successively.
Mobile Retter e.V. is an association dedicated to improving the first aid provided to people in life threatening situations using an app-based alarm system. Now the association is receiving strong support from the Microsoft Group and its technology partner adesso. Together the two IT companies have stepped up to develop and modernise the first responder communication system for “mobile rescuers” and emergency call centres throughout Germany.
The Bavarian State Ministry of Justice has entrusted the design and new development of its central specialist system for the management of junior lawyer training and legal state examinations in Bavaria. As part of the JUSTA project, adesso will produce a new web-based system to replace the existing system, RAS.
The IT service provider adesso AG has signed a partnership with Leipzig-based Apinauten GmbH, a company in the field of digitalisation and mobilisation. In the future, they will use its development ApiOmat, a leading backend-as-a-service platform, in company mobilisation projects.

On Digital Day, those who are interested can gain practical insights into how other companies are paving their own way to the digital age and what they are experiencing at the IT service provider’s company headquarters in Dortmund.
adesso AG has been awarded a contract by the North-Rhine Westphalian State Office for Information and Technology (IT.NRW) for a project for migrating existing systems as part of a Europe-wide call for tenders. The project, which is to be implemented by the end of 2018, has a contract volume of roughly EUR 3.2 million.
