Automated and harmonised data transformation

With Data Transformation Service (DTS), you can optimise your data processes from start to finish. Remove unnecessary content, convert currencies, adjust formats and automate recurring tasks. Store your data centrally, control access precisely and share information securely – both internally and externally.

  • Data reduction

    Remove unwanted attributes or rows from your dataset to retain only the relevant information.

    Currency conversion

    Convert currencies to any target currency as needed.

    Price format customisation

    Customise the price format to your regional standards. The following formats are currently supported: Standard, USA, Switzerland and Germany.

    Renaming attributes and fields

    Rename attributes, fields or row identifiers in your data file globally to ensure consistency and clarity.

    Automation service

    Save recurring transformation rules and automate future tasks. Simply upload your file and click ‘Play’ to apply the saved transformation immediately.

    Additional services are in development and may be available in future versions.

  • Connect and share your data via a central platform for your entire organisation. DTS currently supports the following data storage systems:

    • Azure BLOB
    • FTP

    Additional storage options (such as Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage or OneDrive) may be available in the next version.

    Important note: To connect to data storage, you must provide your DTS login details. We encrypt your login details using the latest technology.

  • Share your data stores and transformed files internally with members of your organisation or externally with other companies and restrict access to them.

    • Role-based access control (RBAC): Use RBAC to restrict access to the DTS. You can also grant access to people outside your organisation via email.
    • Fine-grained access rights: Further restrict users' capabilities in the DTS (drill-down).

Our technology stack

Clear and compact

The Data Transformation Service is a web application based on the robust infrastructure of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). It uses the widely used and actively maintained Angular framework for the front end and Spring Boot for the back end. DTS relies on the SAP HANA SQL database for data persistence.

The application runs on Cloud Foundry, which enables optimised deployment and improved scalability.

As Data Transformation Service is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, no manual installation is required and updates are applied automatically. To use DTS, all you need is a modern web browser.

Always up to date, transparent pricing, unlimited scalability

As a SaaS solution, DTS is always up to date: customers automatically receive the latest version without having to perform manual updates. Our pricing model is simple:

  • We charge a flat fee, regardless of the number of users.
  • Once you have received your login details, you can register and manage an unlimited number of users.
  • We guarantee 99 per cent monthly service availability to ensure reliable availability.
