Currently, Barmenia's claims service uses an in-house development that is connected to the in|sure Health Policy management system, which is also from adesso insurance solutions. The expanded use of these in|sure products is intended to strengthen the future viability of technology and to implement the latest software standards. As part of the overall project, which is scheduled to run until 2024, the existing application will be replaced, the benefit data will be migrated and the new software will be integrated into Barmenia's IT landscape.
Further development of automation processes
Barmenia Krankenversicherung AG has a rate landscape that has grown over the decades. Therefore, there is a wide range of promised benefits that need to be mapped. In addition, because more and more people are choosing Barmenia, now almost 1.8 million people have Barmenia as their insurance partner. The promised benefits need to be paid out as quickly and cost-effectively as possible if the need arises. To achieve this goal, existing automation processes will be further expanded jointly.
