Afida expands management team with new COO Alexander Kaisler

Afida GmbH is strengthening its management team: On 1 January 2026, Alexander Kaisler will take over the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the subsidiary of IT service provider adesso. Kaisler will be responsible for the further development and operation of the Afida SaaS platform for life insurers, as well as the implementation of complex migrations to the platform. The platform primarily serves the run-off business of existing life insurance contracts, but is also used in other sectors such as composite insurance.

With Alexander Kaisler joining the company, the extended management team will consist of four people from next year onwards. In addition to management spokesman Andreas Nolte and the new COO Kaisler, the committee includes Harald Narloch, who is responsible for product business, and Frank Wittholt, who is responsible for sales.

Experienced manager for the further development of the Afida SaaS platform

Kaisler comes from Athora Deutschland Holding GmbH & Co. KG, where he has held various positions in IT, operations and project management since 2002, most recently as a member of the management board. With more than 20 years of experience in portfolio management and transformation programmes in the German life insurance industry, Kaisler brings comprehensive expertise to the further development and migration business of the Afida SaaS platform.

In his new role, Kaisler will be responsible for the expansion, stability and scalability of the Afida SaaS platform. This includes managing and further developing all migration projects, optimising operational processes and establishing the TPA (third-party administration) business model to expand services for life insurers. He will also work closely with product development and sales to strategically develop the platform and expand its market position.
