IT service provider adesso has received the Platinum Trophy in the “Municipal Solutions” category at the eGovernment Award presented by Vogel Media. Readers of eGovernment magazine voted adesso into first place. The company also received a Gold distinction in the same category last year.
“We are delighted that our work for local government has been recognised again,” says Michael Bartoli, Business Unit Lead Public at adesso. “Digitalisation must prove its value in the day-to-day work of public administration and deliver benefits for both employees and citizens. To achieve this, we combine domain expertise with architecture and technical implementation. Our goal is to provide open, interoperable solutions that fit into existing federated IT landscapes.”
adesso has been active in public administration for more than 15 years and understands the specialist applications, processes and technical requirements at federal, state and municipal levels. The company combines business and architecture consulting with the implementation of digital solutions. Key areas of focus include open standards, interoperability, scalability and digital sovereignty.
One example is the Online-Register-Platform (ORP), which is already being used in several implementation and integration projects relating to the modernisation of registers and administrative procedures. The ORP provides an open, multi-tenant and reusable technical foundation for a range of registers. Standardised interfaces and reusable components make implementation easier and support integration into federated IT landscapes.
adesso will also be presenting these and other topics relating to public-sector modernisation at the Smart Country Convention. The event takes place from 13 to 15 October 2026 at hub27 in Berlin. Topics on the agenda include modern registers, high-performance data platforms and the use of agentic AI in public administration.
