adesso and Hitachi Digital Services Enhance Cloud Reliability for Asset-Heavy Industries through Strategic Partnership

adesso SE and Hitachi Digital Services are expanding their collaboration to better support companies in asset-heavy industries, such as the energy sector, with reliable, scalable, and compliant application operations. By combining adesso’s broad expertise in cloud transformation and integration with Hitachi Application Reliability Centers (HARC), the expanded partnership delivers digital solutions to clients both locally and globally.

Global Operating Centres Ensure Maximum Application Availability

HARC is Hitachi’s global framework, founded on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and designed to optimise the performance, costs, and availability of business-critical applications across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Operating 24/7 from central hubs in Hyderabad (India) and Dallas (USA), HARC leverages continuous monitoring, automation, and AI-powered oversight to keep business-critical workloads secure, scalable, and consistently performing at the highest level. With HARC, clients benefit from measurable results, including significant reductions in cloud operation costs and improved operational availability. Governance and compliance requirements are an integral part of each layer of application management.

“This development is the result of years of trust and successful collaboration,” said Santhosh Sreemushta, President & Chief Business Officer at Hitachi Digital Services. “By combining adesso’s deep expertise in cloud and IT transformation with HARC’s proven operational reliability, we deliver customised solutions that meet the demanding needs of asset-heavy industries – with minimal disruption and maximum performance.”

Integrating Architecture and Operations: Expanding the International Delivery Model

adesso contributes its expertise in IT strategy, migration, sovereign cloud operation, AI DevOps, and cloud-native application development to the partnership. This ensures that solutions managed by HARC are designed for scalability, compliance, and performance from the outset. The joint approach also enables advanced solutions such as digital twins, predictive maintenance, and integrated IT/OT control centres.

“Many of our customers work in highly demanding environments where resilience and innovation must go hand in hand,” said Mark Lohweber, CEO of adesso SE. “By deepening our collaboration with Hitachi, we are strengthening our international delivery model and uniting our architecture expertise with a global operation framework. This opens up a secure path for modernising critical systems – from initial migration to seamless 24/7 operations. While adesso delivers robust architecture, HARC ensures reliable ongoing operations. Together, we are redefining what IT transformation means for asset-heavy companies.”

Both companies are launching joint pilot programmes in the energy and utilities sector. These initiatives will be supported by HARC Labs in Hyderabad and Dallas, which will serve as centres of excellence for validating industry-specific reliability models, testing cloud-native control room concepts, and demonstrating measurable improvements before full roll out.
