Support for workflows and data management – in|FLUX optimisation and in|FLOW automation for central management of cross-media publishing
Project
To support workflows and data management, Kiepenheuer & Witsch planned to introduce a new IT system across the whole company. As part of the system selection process, employees at the company needed to document the processes used within the company. A lack of appropriate in-house experience in this area led Rowohlt to task adesso with modelling the processes in BPMN and with providing training in conducting methodical interviews. Selected employees observed the interviews as adesso recorded the processes. Following on from the training courses and interviews, the models that had been created were jointly analysed and optimised.
Result
The company was able to ensure that the models meet the highest quality standards, thanks to in|FLUX optimisation and in|FLOW automation. All process models can be executed.
Support for core business processes – introduction of Biblio 3
Project
To support its core business process, Kiepenheuer & Witsch planned to introduce a new IT system across the whole company. As part of this project, the existing requirements had to be compared with the services provided by the software that was to be introduced. adesso was able to assist the publisher by drawing on the experience it had gained when introducing the chosen software – Biblio 3 – at a fellow publishing house and its knowledge of the processes used by KiWi gained during a pilot project.
Result
adesso successfully eased all feelings of apprehension among the various departments and created a positive attitude by providing detailed and customised demonstrations of the features of the Biblio software.
