The SAP Business Data Cloud and the Snowflake AI Data Cloud are merging to form an integrated data and AI ecosystem. As a launch partner, adesso has been involved from the outset and supports companies at an early stage with the practical implementation of this integration.

The integration is available in two variants, both based on a zero-copy approach via the SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC). SAP Snowflake is aimed at companies looking to implement Snowflake for the first time. SAP BDC Connect for Snowflake is designed for companies that are already using Snowflake in production and wish to integrate their existing platform more closely with the SAP environment.

adesso brings together two specialist teams for this approach: the SAP Analytics Team has in-depth knowledge of the SAP landscape, from the data models in S/4HANA through the semantic layer in SAP Datasphere to deployment in SAP BDC. The Snowflake Team ensures that data products are available in Snowflake with high performance and can be utilised for AI applications. Together, they cover the entire integration process, from the initial assessment of the SAP data landscape to the productive use of Cortex AI on SAP data in Snowflake.
