Kristina Gerwert appointed to the Executive Board of adesso SE

The Supervisory Board of adesso SE has appointed Kristina Gerwert (46) as a new member of the company’s Executive Board with effect from 1 July 2023. The long-serving Head of Human Resources will assume responsibility for HR, “Corporate Buildings” and a subsidiary in the insurance segment. Gerwert’s Executive Board contract will run until 2027.

Kristina Gerwert is an experienced HR manager who has been with adesso for over two decades. She has overseen HR at adesso as Head of Human Resources since 2011. In her new position on the Executive Board she will assume responsibility for Human Resources at adesso Group level, taking over from Executive Board member Dirk Pothen. She will also be responsible for Corporate Buildings in the expanding adesso Group, as well as for insurance specialist subsidiary alleato assekuranzmakler GmbH.

The economics graduate has made a significant contribution to adesso’s successful growth in an IT labour market suffering from a shortage of skilled workers. Prof. Dr Volker Gruhn, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, co-founder and main shareholder of adesso SE, is delighted to welcome the new Executive Board member:

Successful employer branding with Kristina Gerwert

Kristina Gerwert and her 120-strong team were also responsible for adesso’s involvement in the Great Place to Work® Institute’s “Germany’s Best Employer 2023” employer competition, which adesso won again in March. In its size category, adesso was named “Germany’s Best Employer” both in ITC and across all industries. The awards and adesso’s low staff turnover rate – which is far below the industry average – are proof of employee satisfaction at the company.

Workforce increase of 39 % year on year at adesso in 2022

This has formed the basis for successful personnel growth at the company for many years. The number of employees increased by 39 % to over 8,000 in 2022. adesso’s objective going forward remains to “outperform overall market growth by at least a factor of two” as stated by the Executive Board, and to recruit the best talent in the market. adesso’s Supervisory Board therefore sees Kristina Gerwert’s appointment to the Executive Board as a clear sign of the importance of recruitment at the internationally expanding company.
