adesso Receives Top Employer Award Again in 2026

adesso, Germany’s largest IT service provider and the digitalisation partner for numerous private and public organisations, has once again been certified as “Top Employer Germany” in 2026. After receiving the award for the first time in 2025, the Top Employers Institute has once again confirmed the high quality of the company’s working conditions and HR practices. In addition, adesso Austria was also recognised as “Top Employer Austria” for the first time. This underlines just how much the IT service provider is committed to offering employees modern working conditions, opportunities for development, and genuine participation at all locations.

During the current audit, adesso was not only able to confirm its already above-average results from the previous year – it also even surpassed improved them in several categories. adesso was impressive in the categories “Talent Acquisition”, “Onboarding”, “Working Environment”, and “Learning & Development”, and also achieved exceptionally good results in the fields of “Organisation & Change” and “Ethics & Integrity”. The IT company made particularly strong gains in its ratings for “Learning”, “Employee Listening”, and “Leadership”.

The Top Employer certification is awarded following a comprehensive annual audit process. 20 HR topics are assessed in 6 overarching categories, including “Strategy”, “Talent Acquisition”, “Development”, “Leadership”, “Corporate Culture”, and “Employee Retention”. The rating is based on detailed evidence from the previous twelve months. In the current certification cycle, a total of 163 companies were awarded certification in Germany and 2,428 worldwide.

Focus on Learning, Feedback Culture, and Leadership

One of the key reasons for the significant improvement in the “Learning” category, where adesso was already scoring above average in 2025, is the introduction of “adgrowth”, an integrated learning platform for the entire adesso Group. The platform creates a modern, flexible, and highly individualised learning environment, functioning as a central building block for advancing the learning culture. The learning environment is consistently aligned to the current and future needs of customer projects, as well as the specific needs of employees, with its primary focus being on fostering personal responsibility, practical training, and intensive dialogue across team and company boundaries.

adesso has also made strong progress in the “Employee Listening” category. Alongside established traditional tools such as annual and probationary period appraisals, and regular dialogue formats between management and employees, additional measures were

introduced that make it easier for the company to listen to the workforce. These include pulse surveys conducted by the European Forum, adesso’s elected employee representative body. The goal is to systematically gather feedback, present it transparently, and convert it into meaningful, tangible improvements.

adesso has also made further improvements to its structures in the “Leadership” category. Targeted check-ups are used for both internal promotions and external recruitment to accurately identify suitable managers. Since the beginning of 2025, the HR team has consulted external experts to incorporate professional benchmarking data into their assessments. In addition, consistent, company-wide updates and open dialogue sessions have strengthened the open communication of strategic matters from management to all organisational units.

Value-Based Corporate Culture as the Foundation for Ongoing Progress

For decades, adesso has cultivated a unique value-based corporate culture, exemplified by its “GrowTogether” motto, which employees see as especially worth safeguarding. As a result, the IT service provider places great importance on preserving and fostering this culture while evolving its workplace and HR practices.

“Being recognised as a Top Employer for the second time confirms our aspiration to create a working environment in which people can develop themselves, contribute, and thrive together in the long term,” says Kristina Gerwert, member of the Executive Board of adesso SE. “With our newly established programmes, we have taken another significant step forward in key fields such as learning, leadership, and feedback culture. For us, the certification represents recognition, motivation, and guidance all rolled into one – it helps us to make our corporate culture even stronger.”

adesso plans to continue participating in the certification process in future, so it can transparently track and drive forward its development, especially in areas with room for improvement.
