This means that all documentation solutions, from digital medical histories to automatically generated documents (e.g. doctor's letters or applications for follow-up treatment), can be generated automatically. The significantly improved human-machine communication is made possible by various components and, in every case, leads directly to structured data that can also be processed by other applications (such as decision support systems) in the future. Using a so-called ‘ambient listening’ solution, doctor/patient consultations are transcribed live, interpreted for medical relevance and stored in a structured manner. Previous findings are scanned immediately in a machine-readable format. In addition to the structured data, data from the PVS, HIS or laboratory can also be used for information gathering.

We are significantly simplifying the everyday work of our doctors,’ says the medical director of the MVZ chain, where the pilot project was launched, describing his impression.

Human in the loop: up to 70% reduction in workload for the attending physician
All documentation is reviewed, adjusted if necessary, and approved by physicians. This ensures that the documentation and reports generated by the AI are always of high quality and accurate and complete in terms of content. However, this step is significantly less time-consuming than performing the entire documentation or report generation process yourself. With AURA, around 70% of manual documentation work can be eliminated – valuable time that doctors can invest in working with patients.
Comprehensive and individualised presentation of the course of the disease
The platform solution, which is currently under development, will be made available to general practitioners and hospitals step by step.

The software is based on common industry standards such as FHIR, LDT and HL7, can be used for most PVS, LIS and HIS systems, and complies with standards such as ISO 27001, C5 certification and GDPR.
