Thanks to the extension, which was signed in time for the start of the new Bundesliga season, adesso is now an official Champion Partner of the club and its digitalisation partner. As a shirt sponsor, the IT service provider is also increasing its visibility and presence at home and away matches of the club’s youth teams. adesso and Borussia Dortmund have been working together since 2020. The alliance has focused on sales, marketing and sport, as well as overarching software development and IT consulting projects.
In sales and marketing, the two partners intend to work together to raise Borussia Dortmund’s digital platforms and processes to the next level, creating optimal experiences for fans, giving sponsors new opportunities to address specific target groups and opening the door to more efficient processes for employees. Besides the relaunch of the BVB website, adesso is also helping to introduce a new ERP system and develop an end-to-end, Salesforce-based data management concept.
adesso and BVB are also exploring further joint projects in a sporting context, such as the comprehensive data warehouse that is currently being created for the BVB data and analytics department. The system collates the club’s sports science, medical and match analysis data with performance metrics from external sources and interprets and visualises this information in the form of eye-catching dashboards. BVB’s internal target groups – from the coaching team to the management – benefit from detailed and customised evaluations, with data-driven scouting and player monitoring allowing the club to continue working with its youth and professional squads at the highest possible level.
