Drawing numbers is the most important but also most critical process in all lotteries and games of chance. The players must be able to trust the integrity of this process. Although manual draws using lottery machines guarantee the requisite transparency, they are cost-intensive and not suitable for lotteries with frequent draws. What’s more, thanks to its use of blockchain technology and an open source algorithm as a random number generator (RNG), adessoDraws is completely transparent and secure. Every draw is audit-proof, as each stage of the draw is documented.

At the heart of the drawing method is a seed that is generated completely at random. The seed is the necessary starting point to initiate a widely used algorithm to digitally generate random numbers. With the same seed, the algorithm always produces the same value, so the true randomness lies in the seed itself.

Modern, cloud-based solution: draw as a service

Lottery companies and gambling providers can use adessoDraws as a convenient, cloud-based draw-as-a-service (DaaS) solution. This ensures that the draw system can be quickly integrated into the existing IT landscape, is easily scalable and does not require any significant one-off investment. adesso is responsible for system operations and hosting. If necessary, lotteries can also install adessoDraws on their own computer centres and take care of maintenance themselves.
