Deutscher Handballbund (DHB), the official German handball federation, is going on the offensive. A refreshing overhaul of the DHB.de website will help to strengthen the ties of fans and members with the sport of handball and attract new players. The organisation is being supported by adesso. The German IT service provider will relaunch the association’s website, DHB.de, using the modern open source content management system Drupal. As a digitalisation partner, adesso will also provide advice and assistance with developing an integrated platform strategy for connecting and standardising the association’s current online presence. The relaunch of the DHB.de website is scheduled for the end of 2024. The new platform strategy is to be fully implemented by the 2027 Men’s Handball World Championship in Germany.

Thüringer Staatslotterie, the staat lottery provider for Thuringia in Germany, is pushing ahead with digitalisation by partnering up with the IT service provider adesso to launch a new ERP system. In the future, the state lottery provider plans to rely on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, taking advantage of innovative cloud technology. The project is currently scheduled to last several years, during which adesso will be responsible for implementation and further development in particular.

adesso orange, the adesso Group’s SAP subsidiary, is reorganising its pre-sales and business development activities to further support and build on the successful growth strategy of recent years. At its management meeting in early June, the Executive Board of adesso orange AG announced that Michael Bloß and Markus Ingelmann will be responsible for expanding existing business areas and developing new ones in their roles as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). As CSO, Bloß will head up the pre-sales strategy and coordinate all related activities. Ingelmann, as CRO, will be responsible for the development of sales strategies and business development opportunities. Both took up their new positions on 1 July 2024.

After 17 January 2025, the European Union's Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) will require all financial companies based in the EU to improve their IT resilience. This also encompasses making clear contractual arrangements with third-party ICT service providers and their sub-service providers. The contracts concluded must satisfy certain information security standards in order to ensure robust IT operations. With the new Compl.AI analysis tool, adesso assists banks and insurance companies with checking contracts and related documents for DORA compliance.
