App development and mobile solutions

Mobile solutions have long been deeply embedded in the core business processes of companies. Whereas a few years ago it was mainly rather straightforward and usually not business-critical projects that were to be implemented for mobile platforms, the planning and implementation of professional mobile solutions now play an important role for companies in a wide range of industries.

This expertise characterises our subsidiary adesso mobile solutions GmbH. For over ten years, adesso has been planning, realising and managing mobile projects for well-known customers from a wide range of industries and sectors.

As different as the customers and the requirements for a solution are, as individual are the projects. adesso mobile supports its customers throughout all phases of a project. This often begins with early planning steps and continues through the conception and design as well as the actual development and support of the applications during operation after the release of the solutions. Our interdisciplinary project teams work according to the latest agile methods and at all times emphasise the importance of working in partnership with the customer to ensure the success of the project.

The implementation of mobile solutions requires an extremely broad range of expertise and technological know-how. A decisive factor in many mobile projects is the selection of the optimum platform for developing the application. There are four standard variants here:

• In addition to the development of native iOS and Android apps, so-called cross-platform development - i.e. using familiar frameworks such as Xamarin, React Native or Flutter - can also be used, depending on the deployment scenario and customer requirements.
• There is also the option of using hybrid app technology that utilises common web technologies such as HTML, CSS or JavaScript and in which frameworks such as Ionic are used.
