Allianz provides over 83 million customers in over 70 countries with a wide range of insurance policies, financial services and other services.
As part of a clear digitalisation strategy, Allianz focussed on increasing the use of the Meine Allianz customer portal as its central channel for communication and sales. The objective was to establish the portal as a state-of-the-art interactive platform for customers and to continuously develop the platform into a digital customer retention tool. As part of this project, adesso was responsible for requirements management, technical project management and technical design for Allianz Versicherung.
adesso redesigned the user interface, established a paradigm shift in the user guidance approach and made improvements to the existing registration processes. adesso also implemented a personalised user control function by tailoring the homepage to each customer. An innovative bonus system was also introduced with the Allianz Vorteilsprogramm (Allianz rewards programme). This programme gives out an annual bonus, which can be ordered directly on the Meine Allianz page, as a personal thank you and in recognition of the respective customer’s loyalty and volume of business. Furthermore, the portal provides access to purchase-related benefits and allows customers to participate in exclusive prize draws.
Allianz’s motor vehicle insurance or ‘automotive’ intranet portal project involves designing and implementing a web-based sales support system for motor vehicle insurance policies. The support system features a price calculator, a user and customer management function, an option to print applications and quotes, a control function as well as an option to make a damage claim.
In phase 1 of the project, six insurance services with 8,000 dealerships and over 20,000 users were linked to the portal. Further tasks were carried out continuously on other aspects of the portal. The expansion phases involve expanding the scope of the calculator (new insurance packages, adaptations for insurance services) and integrating the portal with the public portals of the insurance services.
