Styria Medien AG

Styria Medien AG, founded in 1869, is one of the leading media groups in Austria, Croatia and Slovenia. The group incorporates daily and weekly newspapers, magazines, customer magazines, online services, radio and TV stations as well as nine publishing houses.

adesso developed various portal and content management solutions for a multitude of online media sources of the group; among others adesso designed and implemented a content management system for the comprehensive online portals of „Die Presse“. „Wirtschaftsblatt“ and “Kleine Zeitung”. The portals include news and service sections (i.a. weather, cinema, events and sport tables). Moreover, adesso took over the testing and documentation of these portals. Even the IT Management including support and maintenance is realised by adesso.

The portals developed by adesso added optimised workflows in the editorial offices of the newspapers. New functionalities as for example Content Syndication, Mobile Device Optimisation, Tagging, Geo-Mapping and Similarity-Indexing offer an attractive cross-media range. The systems are operated in 7x24h-cycles both on portal side and on CMS side and are among the most visited websites in their countries.

adesso performed a technology evaluation for the biggest Croatian newspaper Vecernji which also belongs to the Sytria Medien group; for the online positioning technologies were evaluated and later even tangible products and solutions which then have been implemented together with Vecernji.
