adesso receives €6.5 million order from E.ON: FirstSpirit™ software becomes global group’s standard

Dortmund, 04 February 2010 – adesso AG is supporting E.ON AG with a comprehensive service package for the relaunch of the energy group’s 120 intranet and internet portals around the world. This involves introducing the FirstSpirit™ content management system from adesso subsidiary e-Spirit AG as well as providing maintenance and support across the group. Other adesso solutions from the adesso Group such as web in|MOTION from adesso mobile solutions GmbH are also included in the order. The goal is to standardise all of the company’s internet and intranet sites on the basis of centralised templates, workflows and publishing processes. These will enable optimal content reusability within the group. adesso is also handling the interface integration to the existing SAP portal to promote efficient data maintenance. This integration will allow content to be fed into the system via FirstSpirit™. The order’s volume amounts to about €6.5 million including licenses – €3.1 million of which will be received in the first year of the contract. The current contract initially lasts until the end of 2013. At the project level, this represents the largest incoming order in adesso’s history.

E.ON will standardise a total of 60 internet sites for all of its market and business units as well as 60 intranets with the adesso solutions – replacing the existing CMS solutions across the group with FirstSpirit™. As a part of the agreement, adesso will take over application management and offer 24/7 support for users and installations. In addition, CMS content will be adapted and optimised for access from mobile devices with web in|MOTION from adesso mobile solutions.
