ECC becomes adesso mobile solutions

Dortmund, 10 January 2008 – With immediate effect ECC GmbH operates on the market under the new name “adesso mobile solutions GmbH“. At the same time the company takes over from the parent company adesso AG the development work for the software “web in|MOTION”, thus positioning itself as product house in the field Mobile Business. Customers greatly benefit from the supplementing service portfolios of both companies. Simultaneously, adesso mobile solutions and adesso AG opens up additional cross-selling potentials to pave the way for continuing the extremely successful development of 2007.

The previous ECC GmbH has for many years specialized on mobile solutions and mobile marketing measures. The key activities are, among others, mobilising internet and intranet portals on the basis of the software product “web in|MOTION”. With “web in|MOTION” existing web applications and web information can be transformed in any way and can be edited for various output formats of mobile end devices. This makes it possible that all processes are available at any location without any major adjustments.

In the fiscal year 2007 alone the company implemented 30 mobile marketing and mobile portal projects. During this process numerous new customers had been acquired – including, for instance, five companies listed on the German share index from the automobile industry, energy and chemistry. The company enters the year 2008 with a workforce increased by yet more members of staff and under a new name. “In order to further highlight our services as well as the proximity to our parent company, we are trading with immediate effect under “adesso mobile solutions GmbH”, Dr. Joseph Brewing explains, chief executive of adesso mobile solutions. Dr. Rüdiger Striemer, member of the executive board of adesso AG adds: “Already today mobile business ranges among the most important topics in the IT sector and will be of increased significance in the future. By pooling our consultancy and product competences in adesso mobile solutions we can secure an excellent market position.”

Furthermore, Frank Dobelmann, authorized signatory at the parent company adesso AG, supports the management team of adesso mobile solutions as Chief Technology Officer. Frank Dobelmann continues to head software development at adesso AG.
