adesso Expands its Industry-specific Portfolio by Providing Services for Public Authorities

Dortmund, 15 December 2009 – The IT service provider adesso AG expands its range of consulting and development services by adding a business unit for the sector of public authorities. The increasing requirements on IT supported processes due to extensive reorganizations in the public sector, e.g. in the context of the realization of the EU Directive on Services, provide high potentials for process optimizations. adesso reacts to this conditions by founding its new business unit. This unit focuses the topics portal development, eGovernment, accessibility and IT security. For expanding its competences in the public sector, adesso recruited Jürgen Vogler, a well-experienced specialist in this field.

Civil services are currently facing the challenge to extend their accessibility for citizens by providing administrative processes online, as well as by standardizing such processes. This development is connected with vast changes in the technical and organizational infrastructure and requires the modernization of existing processes and basic IT systems.
