Retail Platform Opens Up New Sales Channels in the Lottery Industry

Lottery companies eager to open up additional sales channels for their lottery products in addition to the traditional forms of lottery retailers and sales points. Especially direct and personalized customer contacts via the internet, the mobile channel and self-service terminals become ever more important. With in|FOCUS adesso presents a portal platform providing access to these channels in a customer-oriented way. The solution fits into the existing IT-infrastructure of lottery companies and supports the sales process of existing and new lottery products with a variety of features. It unites the requirements of customer centering, multi-channel ability and basic solution in the sense of a platform. In addition, it offers the integration of diverse external systems for handling dedicated functions such as payment transactions, link-up to the lottery central system, verification of identity and campaign management. The platform is supplemented by our products in|FOCUS Instant (instant lottery solution), in|FOCUS Bingo (system for Bingo games) and a general interface for integrating other game systems.

System Architecture of in|FOCUS

in|FOCUS is based completely on Java Enterprise technology and uses very flexible, upgradable software standards. In high-performance operative use, the combination of the Open Source Enterprise runtime environment JBoss J2EE Server, the database management systems Oracle or IBM DB2 as well as the Enterprise Content Management System FirstSpirit, has delivered optimal results. Universal standards are used as interfaces between the systems. This ensures that runtime components can easily be changed, if necessary. With regard to the hardware (IBM or Hewlett Packard amongst others) and the operating systems (e.g. Linux Enterprise, IBM AIX or Windows Server) in|FOCUS clearly proved its flexibility.

Due to the flexible structure of the underlying software architecture and due to the support of all common central systems, the solution can be implemented in real time and it flexibly reacts to a change of technology in the field of the IT-infrastructure. Throughout Europe, in|FOCUS is being applied successfully at various satisfied customers.
