Telematics in the Healthcare Sector

Telematics in the healthcare sector together with the electronic health card (eGK) is at the centre of important adesso projects. adesso participates together with many consultants in the development of the eGK and its telematics components. The eGK used as an entry point for the web pushes forward the development of new value-added services such as the electronic patient or the electronic kiosk. These solutions as well as the services necessary for them are also at the centre of attention.

adesso is a long-term partner of statutory and private health insurance companies and is also the service provider for the development and introduction of software solutions for the electronic health card as well as for the identity card for health care professionals (HBA).

BITMARCK Partner in the Introduction of the Central Electronic Health Card Software

As partner of BITMARCK Software GmbH, Essen, adesso cooperates in the development and/or introduction of central electronic health card software solutions for customers from the field of statutory health insurance companies. These solutions include the Card Application Management System (CAMS), the service concerning the master data of the insured (VSDD) as well as the Update-Flag Service (UFS).

Against the background of the upcoming nationwide electronic health card rollout, these projects and solutions take care of all relevant phases of the introductory process of the electronic health card: from the requirements analysis and the support fortendering, via the design and implementation of specific software applications, to the software start-up process and the concrete production as well as the transfer of the electronic health card order files to the card administrators in order to personalise them.

Telematics Services

Moreover, our members of staff support customers in testing telematics components as well as in preparing new requirement specifications and in connecting them to third-party systems.

Furthermore, adesso supports administrations and authorities in generating telematics services. We take on all tasks, from a survey concerning the requirements, via accompanying the tender process, to the support in the implementation phase and, finally, the acceptance of the solutions.

We also provide a Telematics-Ready-Service for software providers. We hereby offer consultancy to software providers for doctors (PVS = German clearing centre for the private health insured) and hospitals (KIS= German Hospital Information System) concerning the conception and certification of interfaces for the telematics infrastructure.
